Tom Green County Historical Society meets third Monday of each month from January through October at 7:00 pm. It meets at Fort Concho National Historical Landmark, in Officers' Quarters #8. The single membership dues are $10.00 a year. Family membership is $15.00 a year. The goal of the Tom Green County Historical Society is to engage members in discussion after a program of historical interest given by local historians. (see list of programs and speakers of recent years.) Usually, a field trip is taken once a year to a nearby spot of interest. This day trip has been occurring in October during recent years, but could be changed to any month if more convenient to the members.
